Privacy policy
Last updated 8 September 2026
The short version
This website collects nothing about you unless you choose to send it. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics and carries no advertising pixel. If you email us or message us, we keep that conversation so we can answer you, and for nothing else.
Who we are
Business Automations is a trading name of businessautomations.ai ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16315114, registered office 9 Kerry Street, Horsforth, Leeds, England, LS18 4AW. We build systems that run the work a business repeats. We are the controller of any personal data described in this policy. For anything in it, write to info@businessautomations.group. That is our only address for privacy matters.
What this website collects on its own
Nothing that identifies you. There is no account to create, no newsletter to join and no chat widget. There is no tracking script either, unless you accept analytics, which is described below. Our fonts are served from our own site, so opening a page here contacts no one but us. The one exception is the guide page, which still loads a single typeface from Google Fonts and therefore tells Google your network address when it opens. We are moving that typeface onto our own hosting, where the rest of them already are.
Like every website, ours is delivered by a hosting provider whose servers keep standard access logs for a short period. Those logs record the address your device connects from, the page requested, the time, and the type of browser used. They exist to keep the service running and secure. We do not use them to identify or profile visitors.
What you can choose to send us
- The booking calendar. When you click Book a free audit, a calendar opens. It is Cal.diy, open-source scheduling software that we run ourselves at book.businessautomations.group, a subdomain of this site, so the page you book on is ours and not a third party's. It asks for your name, your email address, your time zone and, if you want to give it, a line about the job. The appointment is written to our Google Workspace calendar, and a confirmation is sent to you from info@businessautomations.group. Our booking server keeps standard access logs, including the address your device connects from, for thirty days. The calendar shows a photograph of the person you would be meeting, and that picture is served by Google, so opening the calendar tells Google your network address and which browser you are using. We intend to serve that image from our own site instead. See the cookie policy for what the calendar stores in your browser.
- Analytics, only if you accept it. We use Google Analytics to count which pages people read. Nothing from Google loads until you accept the notice, and choosing Reject means it never loads at all. If you accept, Google receives your network address, your device and browser, and which pages you opened here, and sets cookies in your browser to recognise a return visit. We have switched off Google's advertising signals and ad personalisation, so this is not used to build an advertising profile of you. Google acts as our processor under its own data processing terms, which can involve handling outside the UK and the EU. We keep it for fourteen months. You can change your mind at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of any page, and the cookie policy sets out exactly what is stored.
- Email. If the calendar cannot load, the same button opens your own email program with a message addressed to info@businessautomations.group. Whatever you put in that message comes to us when you send it, and not before.
- Facebook and Messenger. If you message our Facebook page, that conversation is carried by Meta under Meta's own terms and privacy notice, and we see it there.
What we do with it
We use what you send us to reply to you, to arrange and hold a call if you ask for one, and, if you go on to engage us, to do the work. We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not use anything you send us to train models, ours or anyone else's.
Lawful basis
When you contact us, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry about our services, and on the steps you ask us to take before entering a contract. If we go on to work together, we rely on the performance of that contract. Where we ever ask for consent, for example before setting a non-essential cookie, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who else sees it
Your correspondence sits with our email provider, which acts as our processor and stores it on our behalf. Messages sent through Facebook sit with Meta. Booking records sit in the database of our own booking server, which is hosted for us in the European Union by Railway, acting as our processor. Google holds the calendar entry as part of our Workspace account. We do not pass your details to anyone else unless the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, transfers are covered by the UK's adequacy regulations or by the standard contractual safeguards those providers publish.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick it up again if you come back. If we work together, records of the engagement are kept for as long as we are required to keep business records. If you ask us to delete a conversation, we will, unless we have a legal reason to keep it. Booking records are kept for twenty-four months from the appointment, or deleted sooner if you ask.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to limit how we use it, object to our using it, and ask for it in a form you can take elsewhere. Write to info@businessautomations.group and we will respond within one month. There is no charge. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not aimed at anyone under eighteen, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we ever add analytics or an advertising pixel, this policy will be updated to say so, and a consent notice will appear, before that code is allowed to run. We will not add tracking quietly. The date at the top tells you when this page last changed.
